What is The Bougie Bar?

The Bougie Bar is a DIY Fragrance Apothecary where you can smell, mix, pour, and create a fragrance that’s completely yours.

Choose from 100+ fragrances, create your own signature blend, and turn it into a custom candle. You can visit us for walk-in candle making, book a private party, or join one of our Social Parties.

Basically, you bring your nose. We’ll handle the rest. 🕯️✨

Lafayette: Street parking and public parking are available throughout Downtown Lafayette.

Baton Rouge: Free parking is available in the shopping center parking lot.

Start by exploring our 100+ fragrances and choose up to three favorites. Mix and match until you create a signature scent that’s completely yours. Then, one of our Bougie Experts will guide you through the candle-making process from start to finish.

No experience needed—just bring your nose and maybe a few questionable fragrance decisions. 🕯️✨

Walk-Ins: Plan for approximately 45 minutes.

Parties: Your experience is reserved for two hours.

We ask private-party guests to arrive on time so you can enjoy the full experience without feeling rushed.

Our standard candle-making experience is $40 per person, plus applicable taxes and fees.

We also host special Social Parties and events throughout the year that may have different pricing.

Everything you need to create your own custom candle:

• Access to our fragrance collection
• Your own custom fragrance blend
• Guidance from one of our Bougie Experts
• A really good excuse to smell 47 fragrances before choosing three

Container upgrades and additional fragrance products may also be available for an additional charge.

Want another candle? Go for it. Additional candles and upgrades can be added for an additional charge.

It costs a little extra to be extra. 💅

Candles are where every Bougie experience begins. 🕯️

Every guest creates a custom fragrance and pours their own candle as part of the experience. Once you’ve created your signature scent, you can take it a little further by adding a room spray, wax melt, or car freshener for an additional charge.

Your candle is the main event. The extras just let you take your scent everywhere. 💅

Yep! Guests 21+ are welcome to BYO wine, champagne, or beer. Please have a valid ID available during the party.

No hard liquor is permitted.

We want everyone to have a good time, but please sip responsibly. If you've had a little too much fun, please arrange a safe ride home.

Absolutely.

Finger foods, appetizers, charcuterie, desserts, and other easy-to-serve foods work best for parties.

You bring the snacks. We'll bring the good smells.

Nope. No corkage fee here, babe. 🍷

Coming with your bestie? Bringing a date? Flying solo? Walk-Ins are made for you.

We also host Social Parties throughout the month if you'd rather make candles with a crowd.

Private Parties require a minimum of 10 guests.

Birthdays, bachelorettes, office outings, family gatherings, girls' nights, team events—we're not picky about the reason to celebrate.

We don't currently offer group discounts for Private Parties.

But you do get a private experience with your crew, which is significantly more fun than another group dinner where nobody can decide where to eat. 😂

For Private Parties and Social Parties: Yes. Reservations should be made in advance online.

For Walk-Ins: No reservation is required, but availability can vary—especially on busy weekends. Give your Bougie location a call ahead of time and we'll let you know what things are looking like or you can book a walk-in experience online.

We know—life happens.

If you need to change your reservation, give us a call. Depending on the reservation, we may be able to move your booking to another available date or issue a gift card for future use.

Our Bougie experience is designed for guests ages 7 and up.

There's lots of smelling, blending, pouring, and creating involved, so our littlest guests (ages 6 and under) may not get the full Bougie experience.

Guests 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Not quite yet! Your masterpiece needs a little time to set.

Candles are generally available for pickup the next business day. Your Bougie Expert will let you know when yours should be ready.

We'll hold completed candles for up to 30 days, so don't forget about your new favorite fragrance.

Shipping may also be available for an additional charge.

We'll hold your finished candle for 30 days after your experience.

After that, we can't promise we'll be able to reunite you with your masterpiece—so come get your baby. 🕯️😂

No need to wait for a call or text! Your Bougie Expert will tell you when your candle will be ready before you leave.

Pick it up during regular business hours and get ready to smell fabulous.

We sure do!

Bring back your clean Bougie container and we'll refill it with a fragrance of your choice for $20.
